Constraints

The project has identified the following constraints which need to be considered by the project and which may impact on the project’s ability to deliver against its planned time frames:

  • availability of funding for the full pilot as scoped
  • Network capacity: 5Mb international, 10Mb national
  • Location of state houses across the catchment
  • MAC addresses limited to 1600 devices across the entire network
  • Limitation of channels available in unlicensed spectrum constrains network design

Planning Assumptions

The project schedule developed is based on the information available at the time of creation. This means that the later stages of the project (particularly from the Development phase on) are less detailed than the earlier phases. The project’s level of confidence in the effort and duration estimations for the later phases is low.
